Health Insurance Panels and Forensic Coverage
Meridian Psychological Center professionals are contracted panel members for many major insurances as preferred providers for clinical services. These contracts provide discounted rates for health related services when they are determined to be medically necessary by the insurance company. Services are determined medically necessary only after the review by the insurance company. Insurances will not guarantee that services are covered at the time of the service. Behavioral coaching services, and couples counseling for sexual dysfunctions are typically not covered services. Initially, as there always is a question regarding coverage, you may be asked to pay for the services when they are provided. If the services are eventually covered and paid by your insurance, you would be issued a refund, or receive a credit to your account.

Forensic, attorney referred or court related services are not covered by insurance. A written request for the specific service, or a court order if available, is required that specifies the question to be addressed. This request is then followed by a signed agreement for the specified services. As a rule, forensic services will require a retainer that is an estimate of the cost for the services being requested. The client is responsible for these costs at the time of the service, unless arrangements have been made in advance.
